Dear Brothers and Sisters, Fellow Elks,

As Elks, we are committed to making a positive impact in our communities—supporting children in growing up healthy and drug-free, serving the needs of our veterans, and enhancing the quality of life for all.

Below is a list of the committees at the Freehold Lodge. We encourage you to take a moment to review them and consider getting involved. Your participation can make a meaningful difference.

Americanism Committee

The Elks Lodge Americanism Committee is dedicated to promoting love of country, respect for the flag, and a deep appreciation for the freedoms we enjoy as Americans. Grounded in the Elks’ proud tradition of patriotism, this committee works to inspire civic pride and national unity through education, outreach, and public ceremonies.

The mission of the Americanism Committee is to foster a spirit of patriotism among Elks members, students, and the broader community. By honoring our nation’s history, values, and symbols, the committee keeps the flame of American pride burning brightly for future generations.

 

Motorcycle Committee

The Elks Motorcycle Committee is a dynamic and spirited group within the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, bringing together members who share a passion for motorcycles, community service, and brotherhood. This committee not only embraces the thrill of the open road but also champions the core Elks values of charity, justice, brotherly love, and fidelity.

The mission of the Elks Motorcycle Committee is to foster camaraderie among members, support local and national charitable causes, and promote a positive image of motorcyclists through community involvement and service projects.

Veterans Committee

The Elks Veterans Committee is a dedicated arm of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, honoring and supporting the men and women who have served in the United States Armed Forces. Guided by the Elks’ solemn pledge that “So long as there are veterans, the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks will never forget them,” this committee plays a vital role in outreach, advocacy, and care for our nation’s heroes.

The mission of the Veterans Committee is to ensure that no veteran is forgotten or left behind. Through compassionate service, community engagement, and active support programs, the committee works to uplift veterans and their families with dignity and respect.

Scholarship Committee

The Elks Scholarship Committee plays a vital role in fulfilling one of the core missions of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks: investing in the future through education. Each year, the committee works diligently to recognize outstanding students, provide financial assistance, and support academic success in our local communities.

The mission of the Scholarship Committee is to identify, encourage, and support deserving students by awarding scholarships based on academic achievement, leadership, community service, and financial need. By doing so, the Elks help students reach their full potential and become future leaders.

Army of Hope Committee

The Elks Army of Hope Committee stands as a powerful expression of the Elks’ unwavering support for the families of active-duty military personnel and veterans who have made the ultimate sacrifice. Through this compassionate initiative, Elks members come together to provide comfort, assistance, and a strong sense of community to those who bear the burden of military service.

The mission of the Army of Hope Committee is to support the families of deployed military members, wounded warriors, and fallen heroes by offering aid in times of need. The committee is committed to ensuring that these families are never forgotten and that they receive practical help and emotional support from their Elks family.

Lodge Activities Committee

The Elks Lodge Activities Committee plays a key role in building fellowship, strengthening community ties, and promoting the values of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks through fun, meaningful, and inclusive events. Whether it’s hosting social gatherings, family-friendly activities, or seasonal celebrations, this committee is the heartbeat of lodge life.

The mission of the Lodge Activities Committee is to engage members and guests by organizing events that encourage participation, promote Elks values, and support the lodge’s charitable and fraternal goals.

Youth Programs Committee

The Elks Lodge Youth Activities Committee is dedicated to supporting, guiding, and celebrating the young people in our communities. By organizing events, programs, and outreach efforts that encourage leadership, learning, and good citizenship, this committee helps fulfill one of the core missions of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks: to invest in the next generation.

The mission of the Youth Activities Committee is to provide meaningful opportunities for children and teens to grow, succeed, and feel supported, both by their families and their community. Through mentorship, recognition, and service, we aim to make a lasting, positive difference in young lives.

Drug Awareness Committee

The Elks Lodge Drug Awareness Committee is committed to protecting our nation’s most valuable resource, our youth, by providing education, prevention tools, and community outreach aimed at reducing drug use and promoting healthy lifestyles. As part of the Elks National Drug Awareness Program (DAP), the largest volunteer drug education program in the country—our lodge stands at the forefront of this vital effort.

The mission of the Drug Awareness Committee is to educate youth and families about the dangers of substance abuse, encourage positive decision-making, and provide resources that promote a safe and healthy future.

ENF Committee

The Elks National Foundation (ENF) Committee plays a vital role in advancing the charitable mission of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks. As the fundraising and outreach arm of the Foundation at the local lodge level, this committee helps turn generosity into action supporting veterans, youth, scholarships, and communities in need across the country.

The mission of the ENF Committee is to educate lodge members about the importance of the Foundation, promote contributions, and ensure that our lodge takes full advantage of the incredible grant opportunities available through ENF.

Special Childrens Committee

The Elks Lodge Special Children’s Committee is dedicated to supporting children with special needs and their families. This committee embodies the heart of the Elks’ mission, charity and compassion, by providing assistance, encouragement, and inclusion for children facing physical, developmental, or emotional challenges.

The mission of the Special Children’s Committee is to improve the lives of children with special needs through outreach, support, and community engagement. We strive to offer opportunities that foster joy, confidence, and connection, while helping families feel supported and valued.
